Course Descriptions

In-Person/'Live' Courses: These courses typically take place in a hotel conference room, please check individual course listings for specific locations. They are designed to follow the FSPCA curriculum directly which involves 2.5 days (20 hours) of instruction over 10 chapters of material. The cost of the course includes all materials, including a student manual, and a certificate of completion from the FSPCA. Courses typically run from 8am-5pm on days 1 and 2, and then 8am-12pm on day 3. 


Online Courses- These courses utilize an Adobe Connect platform that allows for direct, lecture-style instruction and for small-group collaboration. They take place over 5 days, 4 hours per day. Please see specific course listings for exact times and dates. A Google platform is also used to facilitate small group work. Students are required to have a microphone and speakers (preferably a headset). A webcam is also preferred but not required. A second monitor is also a useful tool for this course.
